REVISION RHINOPLASTY Case 4

Description

Surgery: Joseph Rhinoplasty, Revision Septoplasty, Nasal valve reconstruction, Bilateral inferior turbinate reduction, costal cartilage grafting Repair of saddle nose deformity. Left Hockey stick spreader graft, left spreader graft, DCGG with temporalis fascia dorsal on-lay graft. The patient is shown one year post-op.

Indications: Patient has had a previous septoplasty. Patient denies prior nasal trauma. Patient’s symptoms are refractory to maximum medical management with over the counter nasal steroid sprays and oral antihistamines. She also is concerned about saddle nose deformity. She had a septoplasty and turbinate reduction possible balloon sinus surgery about 9 years ago. She has notice progressive saddling of the nasal dorsum. She also reports history of facial pain, diagnosed with Migraine following with a neurologist. She has had CT scans in the past that have not showed sinus disease. She works in a dental practice in Houston. She is otherwise healthy.
