Description

24-year-old male presents to Dr. Barrera regarding his nasal breathing and nasal appearance. He notes a dorsal hump which he would like to address as well as straightening and refining the nasal dorsum. Of note patient had a LeFort 1 maxillofacial procedure for malocclusion last year. He also has a history of sinus surgery years ago from chronic sinusitis. His findings are leftward caudal septal deviation and posterior bony spur on left; inferior turbinate hypertrophy; nasal valve repaired with costal cartilage septal extension graft on left.

INDICATIONS: Indications: septal deviation, nasal valve collapse, inferior turbinate hypertrophy, previous Le Fort 1 osteotomies; previous sinus surgery.

Dr. Barrera performed a Primary split preservation push down septorhinoplasty with costal cartilage grafting (left SEG; infratip cartilage graft)
